Balady is note as the dance of the country side/people and with Folk music

Essential a folkloric dance, it has really grounded dance moves, with smooth undulating and large movements. Mostly dance steps are flat footed, with deep hip and chest lifts and drops.

Typical characteristics of balady music is the rhythm and intensity of dance movements begins really slow and introvert, then slowly builds up.

It is as if the music and the dancer is shy at first, and then let’s go little by little. Balady music usually ends with a creshendo of shimmies and faster music.
